Day One Of Springfield's Smoking Ban Underway
Non-smoking cigarettes signs have now replaced ash trays in Springfield bars, restaurants and public places.
It's day one of the city-wide smoking cigarettes ban.
And many businesses took today to make sure any smoking cigarettes was taking place outdoors instead of in.
But one business spent the day planning a smoke-out to show their true feelings about the ban.
"People are frustrated because they think some of their rights are being taken away and I understand that," says Ryan Macdonald, owner of Trolley's.

Officials at the University of Memphis have decided to push for a tobacco-free campus by next summer.The move was spurred by a student government petition last year and similar actions by faculty and staff leaders. Smoke-Free Policies Could Save Landlords Millions
When apartment tenants light up a cigarette, it's not just their smoking cigarettes-averse neighbors who suffer. Landlords are also sucking it up — in increased cleaning costs.
